Blue Flowers

I was inspired by a post I saw on Instagram the other day to do a blue floral accent nail. I was also excited to try out my new nail art brushes.

I used three to four coats of Love & Beauty Peacock on my thumb, ring finger, and pinky. This is a pretty sheer polish that is probably most convenient to layer, but I love the depth that comes from using multiple coats of it by itself.

For the accent nails, I chose my pointer and middle fingers to try something new (I usually do accent nails on my thumb and ring finger). I did like this method, but I think I still prefer the classic. Anyway, I started with one coat of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in White On, which is super opaque but pretty thick. After letting that dry, I went in with Essie Bikini So Teeny and Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Blue Me Away for the flowers and Essie First Timer for the leaves. I found the brushes really easy to use! They allowed me to make a much more detailed flower than I've been able to in the past using bobby pins and toothpicks. I finished with a generous coat of Sally Hansen Insta Dry.

Overall I loved this mani and it was pretty easy and quick to do! I will definitely be trying it again with different colors :) Be sure to let me know what you think and if you'd like a tutorial!
